My name is JeongMi Yu. My group is n.1
My major is Korean language and literature. And I’m studying interdisciplinary course “Glocal Culture Contents” in College of Liberal Arts. This class is managing for that Library and Information science and Glocal Culture Contents major students, so I took this class.
Now I live in Heahwa-dong. Before I enter the SKKU in 2009, I was living in Jeonju and Gwangju. (I was born in Jeonju.) These cities are very beautiful and comfortable. Because, These cities keeping the traditional culture like Jeonju’s village of traditional Korean-style houses(전주한옥마을). Surely I wish to go to my hometown. I really recommend for you.
Last year, I took a leave of absence. I was so many experiences in these days. These experiences are related my hobbies. I like watching movie, especially independent movie and I really love many festivals.
Fortunately, I worked as a program team staff in INDIEFORUM (March to June, 2012). INDIEFORUM is famous independent film festival in Korea. This festival the noncompetitive Film Festival goes to the voluntary participation of artists.

I made a Screening Schedule, arranged entries, collected critic for selected movie, and so one…… Anyway, I met many movie director, PD, actor and actress, and enjoyed a lot of independent movies. It was a very important experience in my life.
My another hobby is travelling. Travelling give to me inspiration through while overcoming unforeseen circumstances, opportunity to meet other friends, cross-cultural experience.
In January until early March 2013, I travel in Europe and Morocco (in North Africa) during 50 days. Originally I really want to go to Sahara Desert, so I was planning to Morocco, but got to travel Europe together.

Sahara Desert and Morocco is really exotic, beautiful and animated. Atlas Mountains seemed particularly Mars. <Gladiator> and <Star Was> were took a film in this place.
Probably, I can’t forget the pouring star and moonlight which is the brightest in world in Sahara Desert, and kindness and modest attitude Berbers in Morocco also.
Media is changing speedy in our society. In this situation, I wanted to get more information, accurate concepts about New Media. Because many people are using New Media including me, but people overlook media’s pros and cons and do not know clear concepts. So I really want to be a wise New Media user through the class.
I am using many SNS; Twitter, Facebook, Im-in, foursquare, Instagram and so on. One of the most eye-catching and interesting SNS is Instagram; Square-based photo SNS. If you people who use the Instagram, I want to be your friend.
